Air Conditioning 8316

Challenge:

The two halves of the air conditioning unit must be held straight together before the end bolts are fastened. The company was having approximately 2% scrap rate due to the misalignment.

Solution:

The new fixture is designed with DE-STA-CO pneumatic clamps, which now will not allow the two halves to be misaligned.

Result:

The 8316 clamp was supplied off the shelf. No competitors were replaced, no parts replaced. The scrap rate was reduced by 98%.
